Smith committed to joining Boise State's
2011 recruiting class after attending football camp at the school.
He played linebacker at Rancho Verde High in Moreno Valley, Calif. Smith, a high school linebacker who anticipated playing the nickel position in Boise State's defense, he had offers from Air Force, Duke and UTEP and was talking with Pac-10 schools such as USC, Oregon State and Washington before choosing Boise State. Emil
's life was cut short by a tragic accident on Sunday , July 18th.
2010 Emil will always be remembered as a Perris Patriot Alumni.
